Profile
Camawald Coonawarra B&Bs are set amidst large red gums and exotic trees in the highly acclaimed 10-acre Camawald garden which is part of a small farm in the heart of the famous Coonawarra wine region. It is situated on quiet, picturesque Rocky Castle Road, under two kilometres from Riddoch Highway. Both venues provide spectacular views of the garden and countryside.
Camawald Cottage is ideally set up to accommodate one couple or two couples who are friends whereas the spacious Studio is more suited to two people. Both venues are fully furnished. Minimum stay is two nights.
The historic township of Penola is only 10 minutes drive to the south with its abundance of eating places, shopping activities and the Mary MacKillop centre. The regional centre of Mount Gambier is a 45 minute drive away and Bool Lagoon wetlands reserve and the world heritage listed Naracoorte Caves are 20 minutes away.
Visitors can relax in the luxurious and comfortable Cottage or Studio with magnificent views, wander around the extensive garden, play tennis on the lawn court ( in season), take one of the two countryside walks taking a copy of an information guide of features to observe or explore the delights the surrounding Limestone Coast Region has to offer.
