Tarin Grove Farms holds over 1,000 acres of prime grazing land in the heart of the Parish of Pokolbin. The farms are right at the foothills of the majestic Brokenback Range surrounded by prime viticultural land and world class wineries such as Lindemans, Tulloch, Pooles Rock, Draytons and McLeish Estate.
Tarin Grove Farms operate a Black Angus beef operation on the combined properties involving breeding, grass-fed grazing, and the sale of premium quality Hunter Valley beef to the commercial markets including processed fine cuts to the local Hunter Valley restaurants.
The majority of the beef grazing properties are located on the iconic McDonalds Flat (Portion 262), a 1,000 acre prime agricultural holding granted to a freed convict John McDonald in 1827, some 15 years after his arrival on HMAS “Guildford” on 31 March 1812.
The land area has continuously been used for beef grazing and fattening for almost 200 years and is bounded by McDonald’s Road, Oakey Creek Road and De Beyers Road, 5 minutes to Cessnock and centrally located within 5 minutes of fabulous restaurants, golf courses and legendary wineries.
