Introduction
Ever-popular for its rich pastoral lands and once the darling of the 1850’s gold rush era, Mudgee has always been home to the best of regional hospitality.
Established in 1996 and redeveloped in 2013, The Horatio is proud to uphold Mudgee’s reputation of natural, unpretentious style.
The Horatio reception, lounge, and bar was designed to provide a space to meet, relax away from your room, have breakfast or enjoy company for an evening drink by an open fire in Winter.
The architectural concept for the new King Suites was to ‘blur’ the interpretation of the space. Having arrived at your room along the sumptuous hallways, the door opens to a leather chaise lounge, collectable art and a bar.
Only when fully inside the space is it possible to encounter the king bed, dressing area and finally follow the extensive stone tile walk, to slide open a metre wide glass door to the naturally ventilated bath facilities.
