Lake Kepwari was formerly a mine and is now filled with water from the Collie River making it perfect for water based activities and lakeside camping.
Booking a camping spot is essential. Untreated tank water is available – all water is to be treated before drinking. Generators are permitted 8am-pm provided they are not noisey. Campfires are permitted seasonally usually permitted April – November as ring fires only – ground fires are not permitted at any time. These dates may change. You will need to bring your own fire wood and are not permitted to chop live trees or use dead wood on the ground.
The calm waters are ideal for swimming and canoeing activities. There is a designated water ski area on the lake with boat ramp and parking for boat trailers. There is sealed accessible pathways throughout the site.
Enjoy a picnic or use the barbecues in the shelters overlooking the lake. You may even get lucky and catch a redfin perch or marron. Fishing is permitted in season and a fishing licence is required. There are no rubbish bins, so please take your rubbish with you.
Dogs are permitted if kept on leash at all times.
